Patricia Rodriguez, MD
Dr. Rodriguez was raised locally in Peoria, AZ. She graduated Suma Cum Laude from Arizona State University where she received a bachelor’s degree in Cellular Biology and Physiology with a minor in Spanish. After college, Dr. Rodriguez worked as a physical rehab technician for two years. Dr. Rodriguez received her medical degree from the University of Arizona. She was involved with multiple community service activities and served a 1-year term as the Latino Medical Student Representative for Arizona. Dr. Rodriguez was honored numerous awards and distinctions including the Outstanding Graduate Award and Outstanding Community Scholar Award. She was also elected into the Gold Humanism Honor Society.
Dr. Rodriguez is a Board Certified Family Medicine Physician. She completed her 3 years of specialty training at Banner Good Samaritan. During her residency, Dr. Rodriguez became a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist. She also obtained additional training and experience in diagnostic colposcopies, which she will be performing at Desert Ridge Family Physicians. Other professional interests include preventative care, family planning, and adolescent medicine. Most of all, Dr. Rodriguez is looking forward to a lifetime commitment to helping her community.
Dr. Rodriguez comes from a small, intimate family but married into a large, cohesive family and so has gotten the best of both worlds. She is married and has one daughter. She values relationships and is well known for her good-natured personality. Outside of the office, Dr. Rodriguez can be found shopping, bike riding, snowboarding, dancing, or just enjoying the company of her loving husband and family.
