MEET
LISA PICCIONE, MD
Dr. Piccione was recently appointed Chief Quality Officer for Desert Ridge Family Physicians. Her duties include developing and implementing clinical quality initiatives, improving processes for identifying and closing gaps in care at the practice level, coordinating efforts between Desert Ridge Family Physicians and and our Clinically Integrated Network and ACO, and improving physician workflow and efficiency.
Prior to becoming the Chief Quality Officer, Dr. Piccione was in private practice for 13 years. She practiced in Geneva, Illinois for 9 years then joined Desert Ridge Family Physicians where she practiced for 4 years.
Dr. Piccione received her Bachelor of Arts and Science from the University of Illinois, where she graduated with Honors. She attended medical school at Rush Medical College in Chicago, earning her Medical Doctorate with Distinction. Following medical school, Dr. Piccione completed three years of specialty training in family medicine at MacNeal Hospital in Berwyn, Illinois. During her residency, she received numerous honors and distinctions including the 2003 Family Medicine Resident Representative to the National Scientific Assembly.
Dr. Piccione is married with three children. Her personal interests include hiking biking running, reading, skiing and boating; advocacy for the developmentally disabled, nature conservation, and anything in which her kids are involved.
