Dr. Kelly Luba was honored as the Top Nominated Physician in Phoenix for Family Medicine by Phoenix Magazine. This was Dr. Luba’s tenth selection.
Congratulations to Dr. Kristin Lau, Dr. Kelly Luba and Dr. Tiffany Nelson, all three of which were selected as Top Doctors in Phoenix Magazine’s annual Top Doctor issue. This was both Dr. Lau’s and Dr. Nelson’s third selection as a “Top Doc”. This also marked Dr. Luba’s ninth selection and featured a physician profile.

US News and World Report has honored four of our physicians as their Top Doctors in 2012 for Family Medicine. Considering that US News only identified 9 family practice physicians in the Phoenix area, this is quite an achievement. Congratulations to Dr. Lau, Dr. Kelly Luba, Dr. Nelson, and Dr. Piccione!
Dr. Kelly Luba was honored for a third time by Phoenix Magazine as one of Phoenix’s “Top Docs” for Family Practice for 2012.
In 2012, Desert Ridge Family Physicians was a finalist in the NextGen Healthcare/Intel Innovation Awards.
In June of 2012, Dr. Nelson was invited to the White House in recognition of her leadership and involvement in improving healthcare. While in Washington, D.C., she shared the story of Desert Ridge Family Physicians and their use of Health Information Technology to improve the delivery of care. She participated in events over two days with Health IT leaders from across the country, including events with Secretary of HHS Kathleen Sebelius and the National Coordinator for Health IT Dr. Farzad Mostashari.
In the summer of 2012, Desert Ridge Family Physicians was profiled by the Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology for our use of secure email with our patients to improve patient engagement and quality of care.

In Phoenix Magazine’s 2011 Top Docs issue, Dr. Lau and Dr. Luba were honored as two of the valley’s 17 “Top Docs” for Family Practice. Dr. Luba received the distinct honor of being the top vote getter for Family Practice.
In Phoenix Magazine’s 2009 Top Docs issue, Dr. Nelson and Dr. Luba were honored to be named as Top Docs for Family Medicine.
Dr. Nelson co-presented results of a pilot study titled “Engaging Physicians in Risk Factor Reduction” at the DMAA Forum 2009.
